| Designed
to propel Malaysia into the new millennium, Technology Park Malaysia
Corporation Sdn Bhd (TPM) is to date, one of the world's most advanced
and comprehensive centre for research and development for knowledge-based
industries. Established in 1996, TPM focuses on three areas of technology;
namely engineering, biotechnology, and information communication technology.
Spurred
by rapid technological advances, TPM Engineering Sdn Bhd
(TPME) was incorporated in Mac 2004 to directly manage
engineering related projects and produce innovative engineering
solutions. With a total manpower of 70 staff, TPME is a wholly owned
subsidiary of Technology Park Malaysia Corporation Sdn. Bhd.
TPME’s
portfolio of products and services is categorized into 4 core segments;
specifically production/manufacturing,
training & teaching, research
& development and project related
activities.
To
realise the importance of production/manufacturing, the MASTERCentre
(Malaysia Advanced Science Technology Engineering and Research Centre)
was established in 1998 as a one-stop-centre for the designing,
prototyping, consulting, production and manufacturing services.
In 2002, the CNC Manufacturing Centre (CMC) was established to pioneer
the manufacturing of Malaysia’s first CNC machine, a vertical
machining centre with milling, drilling and tapping functions.
|
|
|
| With
the establishment of MASTERCentre and CMC facilities, TPME
is capable to conduct training for local education institution trainers
and SMI trainees in the area of CAD/CAM, robotics and machining.
The School of Engineering, another education project by TPME, is
offering MLVK courses as well as diploma and degree courses in engineering.
Among
the major research and development projects undertaken by TPME
were the collaboration projects with TPM Biotechnology Division
in the area of Live Transportation System and Computer Integrated
Farming.
As
for project related activities, TPME is proud to
have completed 3 months ahead of schedule a RM45 million contract
by Malaysian Centre for Remote Sensing (MACRES) to supply, install
and commission a ground station in Temerloh, Pahang. TPME
has also supplied a complete manufacturing system trainer called
Computer Integrated Manufacturing to Angkatan Tentera Malaysia Academy.
Other related projects are writing specification for Digital Media
Lab, Electronic Library and MSC Flagship Application - Worldwide
Manufacturing Web.
Being
an ISO9001:2000 certified organisation, TPME’s
business process is driven entirely based on its customers’
needs and requirements. As a customer-oriented company, TPME believes
in customer satisfaction and takes pride in providing not only quality
products but also top-class services. |
